the biggest loser.

Thursday,Jul30,

For my boss' birthday, my team had a group lunch at Ruby Tuesdays. One of my coworkers talked about how she and a few others wanted to do a The Biggest Loser (TBL) challenge in the office. She (Cami**) said she needed to lose 20 lbs before she went to Hawaii in 3 weeks. I chuckled to myself because (1) That's a lot of weight to lose in 3 weeks and (2) She'd just cleaned her plate that at one point held some fish and shrimp dish covered in parmesean cheese with a side of rice and cheese pilaf and broccoli. I was baffled as to why she would eat that, but whatever. I digress.

Anyway, we get back to the office and people start buzzing around about how they're going to do the challenge and win blah blah blah. The buy in is $50, so the stakes are high...until the skinny people started to research how the game is played. The person with the highest personal percentage weight loss wins. The skinny people had a major office uproar about how it isn't fair that if you aren't fat, you don't really have a chance at winning. And this is where the drama began.

Issue number 1: The skinny people want the challenge and split up into two groups. That way there can be a skinny "loser" and a fat "loser". I think it’s completely ridiculous. And if they decide to do it this way, I refuse to participate. That's bogus. I want it all or none. I’m like dude, just don’t play if you’re scared you won’t win! LOL.

Issue number 2: The skinny people started walking around the office ASKING people if they were going to participate. Chatty Cathy asked the Duggar Mom, and the Duggar Mom got PISSSED. She said that asking was rude, and basically suggesting that she needs to lose weight. LOL. (Though she could lose a few pounds, lol). And of course Chatty Cathy comes around asking me was I gonna participate. (I guess I should have known someone was bound to ask me, especially considering the whole "fat family reunion debacle". lol. I said I wasn't sure yet, but I probably would.
So now, the skinny people are dropping out of the competition left right and center because no one wants to potentially lose $50. I'm stuck trying to figure out if I should participate or not. I mean...losing weight is always a good look.

Hmmm. I think I probably will do it. Winning $500 and the fact that I won’t look like Ruby at the next family reunion are good motivation participate. lol

Wish me luck. :)
